Hi, I am changing the mixer tap in the kitchen and thought it would be reasonably straightforward and knew where to turn off cold water,(that I'm ok with) but foolishly didn't think about the hot water!! Yes that will do it, if there is an immersion heater in the hot tank, check it's off.
