Who provides my calls?

Is there a quick way to find out who my provider is?
I ask because I've been waiting for BT to take my calls back from Tiscali for 3 months now and I'm fed up of phoning them and waiting in the queue for ages!!
I've checked my BT account under usage and it still says nothing despite that fact I've been making calls but generally they are made after 6pm so I'm not sure if they would show up.
Please help. Or just tell me to call BT again!

BT Charge Advice service may tell you. I think if Tiscali are still billing you then you wont be rung back with the charge. Dial *40*phone number#, when the call is finished replace the handset and if charged you will be called back and read the approximate cost. It is a free service.0 -
Or turn Charge Advice on for all calls.
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=5396001&postcount=2Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
Heinz you rock. I tried *411# and it says the service I want is unavailable. I assume this means Tiscali are still providing my calls so I will make the effort to call BT and find out what is going on. They originally said the service would commence on 4 November, then when I realised they were not diverted they would do it from 19 January. Grrrr!0

Just called BT and they promised I am now with them for calls. So thats one mystery sorted. Thanks for your help.
Ps. They message today says they are extremely busy but I didn't want to hang up and try later as this had to get sorted, I was only on hold for 1 minute?!0 -
Unfortunately, that's not necessarily the case. It can just mean that the (now legacy) Charge Advice system is not available on your exchange.bluefuzzybug wrote: »I tried *411# and it says the service I want is unavailable.
