What are Alfa Romeo 147's like?

I forgot to ask, when test driving the cars yesterday the gearstick seemed loose/wobbly even when in gear. Would this be normal for the Alfa's? it was the same in both cars.

Probably " normal " but a symptom of their build quality, or lack of same.:)

Yup, perfectly normal. Worst thing in my car is the wobbly gearstick. They were like it from new. Nothing to worry about though, the 'box is very reliable and actually quite precise.
