Moving house advice

I have been well satisfied with staywarm during the last few years. In a fortnight we are due to move house to a very similar set-up. Currently the gas is with British Gas and the electricity with Southern Electric. I assume that we have to phone them once in the house and supply the meter reading which should talley with the out-going owner. That being so, will I be in any way compromised to use them? or do I say "I will use you, but only until Staywarm are able to take over?.

This is exactly right, you are obliged under a deemed contract to use the supplier that’s in place when you move into a property. This only needs to be the case for around 4-8 weeks whilst a transfer to your chosen supplier is carried out.

If you’re interested in Staywarm again for this new address, call up and get a quote, your price will know doubt be different to the current address, but it will be based on the new property details and your information.
