Hi

I have made complaint about PPI to Black Horse was told in theory on the Dec 11th complaint upheld by complaint deptment, but as it a large sum and we are talking 5 figures it has to go to another deptment for ratification at first I was told that could take a further 8 weeks so total of 16 for decision. It now at end of that 8 weeks and no answer, Anyone else had this issue I know Black Horse are slow but this is taking the mick I don't understand what the difference is between £500 and nearly £20000 its same missold or not missold.

There is a backlog with most banks due to the high volumes of these complaints, hope you won't have to wait too long now though, fingers crossed for you, please keep us posted.:)

How long did it take them to tell you in theory your complaint was being upheld was it your first letter you got a response to ?
Ive sent a letter to BH(well the underwriters (Lloyds TSB) have to wait upto 8 weeks just wondered if they made you wait up to the deadline .

The decesion was made in 8 weeks by complaints but due to size has be ratified by a higher group or so I have been told by their complaints dept and customer service. Hopefully yours won't take as long as mine but as its now costing them £3 a day interest another couple of weeks will not matter I have now given them 7 days to come up with a final response.

i sent all 3 letters to black horse,the first in june last year and i didnt get a response of any kind until 2 weeks ago,they have said they will be refunding me plus interest but how long till i see any money is anyones guess!oh and their letter was a responce to my first,thats 7 months!:mad:

befroe anyone takes black horse to court they will worm their way out of it, DONT MATTER IF YOU HAVE PRE EXSISTING CONDITIONS OR UEMPLOYED and simply use the fact that you should of read the terms and conditions of the ppi and that you had 30 days to cancel. I was not aloud to cross exsemine the witness diue to the fact he was nit there when the loan was taken out, i informed the court they were in breach of the cca act for not providng a true copy of the agreement, they argued and siad there is ntohing in law to say this, the court agreed, i incured £3,600 counsel costs for the priveldge, they told me i could have a parcial refund of the ppi, i cancelld it in june last year and agin in january this year but still charging me for it, i have exsess arrears and told them to take this off the arrears, re sort the laon but you guesed it they have not responded by way of confirmation, letter sent by fax and recoreded. I now now think they will apply for a reposession of my home due to the arrears. I made an offer of payment to the court and since compaline to the court about offer no response, and to blk horse, it seems that the cca act is not what it seems nor is the data protection act 1998. There is loads of advice but no one to inervine. What they are doing to me is apalling. I worte to the oft and they replied saying they dont get involved. Seeked advice from cab and community legal advice, both said they have to respond to letters, my first letter when my arrears was just a small amount was sent out september 2008 and letters have been sent since but not any have responded to. Oh just the one reply claiming they did not missel the ppi. But they do respond if you ask for a settlement figure in the same letter which prooves they do get the letters. So i am just waiting for the enevitable to happen. Any thoughts now? How does blk horse aloud to opperate in this manner, i have used up all resources including their compalints proceedure, i am now about to write to my mp. Martin please help!

hi there. sounds like you are havin as much bad luck as i am.i claims company contacted me 2 years ago saying i was mis sold the ppi policy.BH are dragging their heels as well as the solicitors of the claim company.after this amount of time i have mad a complaint to the ministry of justice. the solicitors told me that BH havent got the money, but my arguement is im still paying for it every month.like you say regardless of the amount they have still mis-sold it and i should have had my money back last year.i have gone through the claims company on a no win no fee basis.have you done the same?

you were told black house don't have the money to pay you back ???? who on earth told you that, BH is part of the Lloyds Group and unlesI'm very much mistaken they haven't gone bust !!!

unfortunatley no i didnt' i did the case myself, i found out there is no such thing as a no win no fee, in fact most companies take 20% to 25% if they win on your behalf, of course if they loose then you pay nothing but l thought was a headache to complete to the trial, i found myself fighting a loosing battle as i could not ask the witness certain questions about his statement!, why right a statement and swear on oath to tell the truth the whole truth and nothing but, soon as i asked questions about his statement he states 'i cannot coment as I was not there,' i made the point of saying 'what is the point him being here then?' they even put documentation about the fsa guidelines to dliberatley through me and when i asked about certain things in the fsa gidlines the witness stated, that does not aplly to the loans in question, that is only for loans taken out after 2008 mine were 2006 2007, so i then asked why is this in the bundle? he shrugged his shoulders and said ' i din't put it in there' the whole case was one sided, i was cross exsamined first, thought it be me cross exsamine the witness first since it was me that brought them there. i was digusted the way i was treated, my partner was in tears in the witness box and could not answer questions and clearly stated on numourous occasions she did not understand the question,so the barrister answered for her, she even asked for a break and was refused, to me i feel that was total eregular for a judge to say that, i complained to the court in the way we were treated in the court room, gues what? no reply.for all the good it was worth i might aswell of not gone. as for my ppi refund i wil never see that, they still not responded to my letter, phone calls, i think it is a discrace how these companies can opperate like this. shows that the cca is not for the consumer it is for the creditor. should be called the creditor act. the law needs to be changed that if lenders cannot be botherd to repond to complaints and help debters reslove there arrears or issues instead of just collecting the interest for being in default then the debt should be wiped as a fine to them.:T it is no wonder there are so many in debt in this country when lenders like Black Horse cant be botherd to help you when you are in trouble.
