Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone knows if there is the list of prices for costco or/and makro online anywhere? I'm not a member of either, but my dad's self employed so i understand he could get membership? Just interested really, trying to be mse!!
thanks for any replies!

There is no price list because stock is constantly changing, especially with the special offers.
You can join Makro if you have a VAT number and it is free to join, Costco I believe is the same requirement but it does cost to join.
With Makro you get a Makro Mail through every few weeks, and they publish it online too (you need a card number to access it). I am not a member of Costco so maybe someone who is could give you more information. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
You can see Makro prices online but there isn't a Costco one.0

I'm a Costco member - they don't publish prices online however they do send out money off books several times a year. If you click on this link it will take you to a page where I posted details of the current offers (you will need to scroll down the page a good bit) which may give you a flavour for their prices0 -

.
You don't need a VAT number to join Costco - you either need to be self employed (you don't need to be registered for VAT and have a number, you just need a letter headed piece of paper and some bills/bank statements for the business for eg) or an employed individual from certain professions, for eg employed by the LA (so teachers etc), or jobs like Doctors - I'm afriad I don't know the whole list, because I only ever looked to see if I was eligible, so looked for my job (teacher) when I first joined, now we are members as a small business.
You can go look around a Costco as a visitor if you want, you have to go to customer services to get a daily pass, but you can't buy anything with this, it's just to have a look around and see if you want to join.Do not feed the trolls please.0 -

Same for Makro no VAT no needed just proof of self employed, as it's free I'd join anyway. As you pay for Costco have a think about that one, I go to Makro, Costco is a nice shop (I like the sample stands) but I can't justify the fee, I wouldn't shop there enough.AKA: PC

I've been a costco member for a few years now - I discovered I was able to join because I work for an american company which was on the 'list'. I've no idea how extensive the list is but if you do work for an american company it may be worth checking..:)0

Hi,
BAE aren't on the list, I used to work for them so looked when my boyfriend signed up a while ago, he's in the Army
Roughly the list is:
- Government - Forces, Blue Light Services etc etc
- Civil Service
- Self-employed
- Doctor, dentist or other healthcare professional (not sure if its just NHS, it didn't say)
- Chartered - accountant, engineer etc etc
We found they were really reasonable with what info they needed. They state work ID and utility bill but as boyfriend has no utilities as he's in barracks they accepted a credit card bill and mobile phone bill registered at his mums address. Sometimes companies can be really picky about documentation which can be a real pain for him.
