acer aspire 5532-314G??? german/austrian market?

I have treated myself to a lap top- i haven't set it up yet but........ while i was googling how to set up this make of laptop ( i just wanted to make sure that i do it properly and learn how to do the back up disks etc, it is all new to me so i want to make sure i do it properly.. i noticed a lot of the advice seemed to direct me to foreign pages and then-

i came across this sentence while i was googling

should it bother me? or should i return it to comet before i even open the box? i would have thought that they wouldn't sell it if it wasn't intended for use in the UK.

The keyboard for a German laptop may have a couple of keys in different locations (I think the Q and Z but not 100%)

YOU dont understand the post- i wrote it and even i dont understand it:D

basically does this laptop sound ok? maybe my 'google' was playing up, i will have a look at the keyboard when i open it and get back to you, it must be ok if i got it from comet..

edit: i am a complete novice at this so am even reluctant to even open the box- lol.

well i have just opened the box and the keyboard looks ok so that'a a good start!!

Lol, no, you're correct; I've just Googled on your behalf and am getting German instructions also.

Well, so long as all the regional settings denote UK English then all should be OK. Strange one I have to admit.

i am not going mad then:D iw ill let you know how i get on, the box is open, so i will have a see if i can set it up ( with everyone's help of course)

is it easy??

there is a picture as soon as you open the box called - just for starters and sort of gives you 6 pictures step by step but not much else!!

i am off to work in half an hour for an hour but i will be back and then i will be asking some questions:

1- setting up my laptop and making a backup of it? ( saw it on here somewhere but i dont really know what that means.

2- connecting it to my router thing ( my desktop is plugged into it cos my desktop is not wireless enabled but it is doing the job)

3- registering it on the acer site

4- installing my kapersky 3 user
