The last time I needed to hire a skip I phoned all the local companies, and the cheapest quote I got was for £130 (to include delivery, collection, and a council permit to park it on the street).
However when I phoned up to book and explained that all my rubbish was ready to go and could be easily loaded into the skip, the manager said he would remove the £20 cost of the council permit, and a further £20 if we could load the skip in 20 mins while his driver waited. So in total we paid £90 and didn't have the hassle of every cheapskate on the street loading their junk ito it/sifting over it to remove other peoples rubbish :)

LOL - didn't really answer your question, but still an idea to save a few quid!

Hiya, I already mentioned this lot on another thread but skiphireuk.co.uk are UK wide so they should have something going in Devon. They do the council permits as well as the hire so its all sorted in the one cost.

    Hippobag.co.uk

Could prove cheaper - you'll need to do the maths and have somewhere off road to store it while you fill, They do a 'skip' sized one

BTW I don't work for them, just have used them
