Save money - avoid paying silly parking fines

Note to Martin/Admin.
How about a seperate thread for 'parking tickets'?
Its a real hot topic with the media now.

Heres a great website (as seen on BBC tv today) for anyone caught in the ticket trap.

There is an article in the Times today on this subject. They are to phase out much of the clamping, only clamping persistent offenders who owe money for previous fines. It won't be allowed to remove a vehicle within an hour of ticketing it. If you arrive back while they are preparing to tow it away they have to stop the process and you just get the ticket. You will be able to get a discount on a ticket even if you challenge it. And they are to abolish ticket targets.

All this will be in force by next summer, they say.

Great news. Thanks for the update.

But the councils will obviously still fight hard to keep those parking tickets coming in as it earns them millions per year. So we have to fight smart still.
