If it is mainly for the kids then you'd really want something that you'll be able to easily carry around with the rest of the stuff and that is quite easy to use. For these special occasions, then I would go for a proper camcorder but for the day to day videoing, I find the Flip to be excellent.Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????0
