Help! Think i've won but still heard nothing....

My name appears on the ING website as one of their advent competition winners. I know that there could be other people with my name, but given it has my location too, I am pretty certain that it is me who won. I can remember entering it on that day as I actually posted the answer in the advent thread.

Anyway, heard nothing from them - they said on 18th Dec when they posted the winners that they would be in touch with winners shortly, its now nearly 2 months later. I posted on the comments section if people had heard anything and another winner said he hadn't.

Its a pretty damn good prize and I would love to finally get it, any advice?

Have you tried emailing them?

I dont suppose you also have a link to the winners list?

EDIT - Just seen that the person who said they had not heard anything has now received their prize but that was over a week ago, am I destined to never get mine?

I recieved a prize today from a competition entered in September and my name published in the magazine in November. Not the same company, but dont give up hope. Keep emailing them and good luck!

7 What happens if my prize doesn’t turn up?
This is going to be individual to each comp. Usually it will state in the T & C for each comp how long it should take for the prizes to be dispatched to winners. As a general rule though or in the absence of any particular details in the T & C, allow 28 days, (allow more if we are experiencing postal strikes or extreme weather conditions). If the prize hasn't arrived by then, get in touch with the company offering the prize. Try to contact the person whose details you have & ask politely if there is a problem with delivery. A telephone call is the best way, but failing that try emailing them. If they don't reply, look on the original website for contact details & contact them, again being as polite as you can.

If you still get no response from them, there are a few different things you can try.

The Institute of Sales Promotions [EMAIL="complaints@isp.org.uk"]complaints@isp.org.uk[/EMAIL] lay down the guidelines which comp organisors must follow. MSE Compers have reported that they are very good at investigating dodgy comps & missing prizes with one chap in particular [EMAIL="edwinm@isp.org.uk"]Edwin Mutton[/EMAIL], being an absolute star.
