I'm going to florida and we have booked some park tickets etc in advance to help budget for the holiday. Does anyone know if any insurance company/policy out there will cover these for us?
Thanks She

How did you pay for them?0

My immediate thought was that your travel insurance should cover this in the event that you had to cancel for an insured reason.
Having looked at my own policy, I'm not so sure - it covers 'travel' and 'accommodation'. I suppose that stretching a point park tickets could come under one of these - but I'd prefer not to argue the issue.0 -
If you paid via credit card then surely you would have some sort of protection? Not o-fey with this, but you could try on the loans/credit card board.
Did you buy them with the holiday or seperatly?0 -

You would have (or might have, if you met all the right definitions) protection against the park company going bust or not providing you with the tickets - but not against you cancelling or having to cancel the holiday.0 -
Indeed, that was what I was looking for! I had a nice lunch you see....
I am now a little more up to date with our friend fey:

I agree wityh dzug.
Credit card companies would not cover you, if for example you had to cancel because a parent died, or fell very ill.0 -
Some policies cover this - You are buying TRAVEL isurance - not Health Insurance, Flight Insurance or any other, and Disney is part of yur travel arrangements. This is where cheapest insurance may not be worth the saving!
My friend's wife was hospitalized here and (Tesco Insurance) covered their tickets, in fact they earned out of it because they had never expire WDW tickets and the Insurers paid full price as they never used the tickets (as she was in hospital) and my friend and his wife still have the never expire tickets to use next time they come.
If you think you may come again to Orlando you may want to upgrade your tickets to never expire (a sort of insurance in itself) - I think it is around $16 per day to upgrade a park hopper but it depends on the ticket type as to the cost.C. (Ex-Pat Brit)
