Business Gas help
Options
My contract is up for renewal. Im currently with npower and they have offered me
1 year = 3.978p/kwh
or
2 year = 4.161p/kwh
No standing charge if tied into a contract. I got in touch with make it cheaper and they have come back with a qoute for British Gas paying 2.836p/kwh with a standing charge of 8.9p per day. Im not sure which one to go for as im a novice when it comes to gas and electricity. Can anyone shed any light on which deal would be better and what to consider when making a decision. I cant find any previous bills at the moment so dont know how much gas im consuming per anumn.
Many Thanks,
Trek

Not really possible to advise without knowing your annual consumption. If this is a business billing then surely you have records of previous bills? No free lunch, and no free laptop0

My previous bills are with my accountant when i did my book keeping. Ill give npower a ring and see if they can shed any light on my consumption. I have bills from the year 2007/2008 but they are estimates. My bills vary from 100-200 quately.0

Why not give the different prices to the accountant and ask his advice what you be best for you?"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100

Id rather get advice from people here at money saving expert and try at sort it out so that in future im more clued up..
Thanks for your input0 -
The choice is obviously yours, but you shouldn't rely on any information given on this forum as anyone can post anything ... you should do your own research.
However, if you ask your accountant for advice, you could hold him liable if that is not good advice. Furthermore, your accountant should be able to explain why he has given any advice to you so that you too are 'clued up' about it."Now to trolling as a concept. ....
