Dishwasher Repair

I have a dishwasher that is not letting any water in or out, it's a neff one and fairly old. (about 7 - 10 years at a guess.) It looks like its hardly been used though.
Does anyone have any recommendations on a fixer in the NN1 northampton area? Or a national company who are good?
Thanks
Hayley

Hi I have a BOSCH dishwasher and we got BOSCH out last year to fix it as their plans through DOmestic & General are not too bad. I was told that the average life for one of these appliances (BOSCH) that is is 10 years so I did feel that the money was worth it. Also if it was unrepairable they would have replaced it with a new one for free - they nearly did that but they got it going on the 3rd attempt!

Check the obvious thing first, turn of its water supply and disconnect the hose, there should be a rubber washer at each end, one of these washers should have a small filter within it, ensure its clean. Also once the hose is disconnected turn on its supply again and make sure there is water coming thru, you will need to keep the hose connected to the isolating valve and run any water of into a bucket. Water board doing work outside could have mean't your incoming supply has taken in some dirt which has blocked your filter.
