I set up a faster payment RBS business account to my HSBC account Monday for today.
The moment has left my RBS account just (when it updated on-line at 2.00am, but is not in my HSBC account, I urgently need this money before 10.30am
How come it soon as sent in my RBS but not in my HSBS.
It was for 1800.

Sometimes mine goes through in seconds, but can be up to 2 hours and possibly slower through the night time period.Justice for the 96 YNWA

But it shows as sent and debited from your one account when it takes hours?

It was for 1800.
I tried to pay a friend using fastpay at about midnight. The transaction was processed but I was advised that the money would go through by the morning. The money did actualy go through. As far as I am aware fastpay stops at about 11.30 pm and does not start again until after about 6pm.
This is still fastpay compared to the old days.Money is the headache, money is the cure!0 -

No, Faster Payments is designed to operate 24/7, including all night, weekends, bank holidays, etc.
It may be that some banks suspend Faster Payments for some time overnight, but the system allows them to take place at any time of day or night.0
