Erm... we could probably write you a book full of advice between us, in fact, we have:-

    The Complete Breadmaking Collection

You'll find general advice on your breadmaker there, and also some tips making loaves using wholemeal bread, plus a number of problem solving threads, with more hints and tips in the indexed thread.

:T :T :T Congrats on taking your 1st step in OS and getting a bread machine! (BM) :D:D

My advice would be, to use the recipes which came in the book with your machine. Until you become familiar with your particular machine, there's not a lot of point attempting other recipes at this stage. All the recipes which come with your machine have been tested for that particular model. Also, where you site your machine can sometimes make a difference.

Your confidence will grow with *doing* ;):) Don't expect your homemade loaves to last 4 days - even if you had a larger machine - fresh bread is enormously more-ish. To cut down on wastage, you might find that it is better to slice it up and freeze the excess so you can defrost fresh bread on a daily basis.

Once you are familiar with your machine and the recipes from the book, you'll soon be adapting them for your own recipes or those squeaky has linked to for you. Little changes to a basic recipe can make an inspired difference to your daily bread. For example, in my early days, I threw in some dried rosemary to the basic loaf recipe. Another time, I threw in some dried onions. But when it comes to herbs, a little goes a long way ;)

All the best kaan_is, I'm sure you'll have lots of fun with it and soon be an expert BM Baker :D:D:D
