i am trying to keep 100% feedback and have done up until tonight. i sold a dvd a few days ago i hadn't put a region in the listing (not on purpose) i get a neg because it was region 1.
what can you do when buyers don't even give you the chance to resolve things? i would have given a full refund even though the listing wasn't actually technically wrong.
is there a way ebay can take off the neg as i didn't actually do anything wrong. whats to stop a buyer getting everything they want and more and still leaving a neg?

I agree that the new feedback policy stinks, but I must admit that if I bought a DVD and the region wasn't stated, I would assume that I wouldn't have to travel to the States to watch it.
They probably didn't email you as they couldn't be bothered with the hassle of complaining about and sending back a low value item.0 -
i wouldn't have made them send it back just refunded as i see it as a bit of a mistake on my part for not checking the dvd but then again how do i know its not just their dvd player and the dvd is region 2. they get an ebay warning pop up before leaving a neg asking to contact seller first and why are the negs always from low stars buyers.0

Confused... is it region 1 or 2?My TV is broken!

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
they say 1, i didn't check to be honest but also didn't list it with any region. just can't win in these situations as no chance given to resolve.0

Have you spoken to him about it yet? he might ask for the neg to be taken off if you negitiate. My player is multi-region BTW as are most modern players.[strike]-£20,000[/strike] 0!0

Actually you did you made a mistake in your listing. Contact the buyer apologise for the mistake offer them a refund or partial then ask them to revise there feedback.lindseykim13 wrote: »is there a way ebay can take off the neg as i didn't actually do anything wrong.
If they don't agree respond calmly to the feedback apologising and saying you offered a refund. Then move on its not the end of the world0 -

i didn't make any mistake the dvd was listed with no region therfore they bought a dvd not knowing what region it was, this was not my fault/mistake but i would have been happy to refund on the buyers assumption that it was region 2.
i just don't like the way sellers get negged for silly things that could have been sorted so easily it winds me up because as a seller you stand to loose a lot when you get a couple of bad buyers that you can't seem to please.0 -

you did make a mistake, if the DVD was advertised on Ebay UK, and the region wasn't stated then it would be reasonable to expect that the DVD would be for the region covering the UK, ie. region 2.
You should do as others have suggested, contact the buyer and admit your mistake. Offer to replace or refund the item and ask them to reconsider the feedback. If they don't, as has been said, add a concise follow up to the feedback explaining you have offered a full refund for the mistake and the buyer has refused it.====0 -
Its feedback not the end of the world. As d123 said the buyer could reasonably expect something on ebay uk to be region 2 if not stated. (I would) so be a grown up try and sort it. If not get on with your life.lindseykim13 wrote: »i just don't like the way sellers get negged for silly things that could have been sorted so easily it winds me up because as a seller you stand to loose a lot when you get a couple of bad buyers that you can't seem to please.0 -
A Refund is not always satisfactory on a low priced item as the postage is lost and you have to pay the postage back...its just not worth the bother, even if your offered full refund.0
