National Express "Fun Fares" (terrible pun - good price ;) )
Hiya Just thought I would share this one.
I need to go down to London from peterborough on Friday. Now, I usually take the train, but as I will be going during peak times, this would be around £40 a ticket.
I never usually even entertain the idea of National Express coaches as they are usually quite dear by comparison and take ages, but I thought I would have a look on the off-chance.
Well, i'm sure glad I did - they have introduced these "Fun fare" tickets, which you can only get online, which means instead of £40, I am now paying £8!
Yay for coaches! :T

actually it's been around for a while now, but yeah they're great value. competes with megabus so i always check both national express and megabus website to see which one's cheaper (along with superadvanced tickets on trains).
travelled on funfare a few times now, like couple of years ago I was going to Loughborough uni for openday from london, it would have costed quite a lot - cant remember how much exactly but around 20quid each way - but by booking the ticket separately as London - leicester and leicester - loughborough on the same coach, I was able to get it MUCH cheaper. something like 4quid return for London - Leicester, and few quid for Leicester - Loughborough return.
only thing is that its non refundable or you cant change it, but its great if its what you want.0
