Avira coz I likes the red umbrella :)
  • Ive tried them all and Avira has been the best so you should be OK. But you will also have a couple of spyware scanners running along with Avira. My choice is superantispyware and malawarbytes and a commodo firewall. BUT the best info is good old common sense!! ;)

If you want to set and forget MSE as mentioned above and windows inbuilt firewall. Mind and make sure you've fully uninstalled your old security as this can lead to problems!

Depending on where you visit around the net really.

If you don't go to known dodgy web sites than a combination of MSE and WOT for your chosen browser can do a good job without taking too much resources.

The advantage of MSE I suppose that it is a combination product of Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware in one.

WOT will mark a site as dodgy so you don't go there in the first place.

If you do wander into the darkest corners of the net  I suggest to add MABAM and 'Process Guard' as another layer of protection.
Five exclamation marks the sure sign of an insane mind!!!!!
