    Well done Snoozer :T :T :T !!

Being debt free definately gives you more choices & freedom doesnt it?

It doesnt necessarily mean that when you're debt free you go on a massive shopping spree, but it is nice to have a treat - I hope you enjoyed your holiday.

no, I don't mind you asking Dotty Anne - we must have had around £50,000 worth of debts not counting the mortgage. This was the product of 25 years of mismanagement - sometimes we would almost get on top of it and then let everything slide again because we were sick of scrimping and saving.:o

I shudder to think that at one time we had an overdraft of £10,000 plus credit cards and loans. However, we managed never to miss a payment on anything (close run thing sometimes) and never got charged for bouncing cheques, DDs that we could claim back now. The truth is we had a good income but were just !!!!!! money managers. After finding this site I am much more on top of our accounts, budgeting etc. :money: for Chancellor
