can i change my assessment for 09/10 childcare grant?

I have been luck enough for my (ex) MIL to look after my youngest whilst i am in uni. Now ex has got a new girlfriend she (ex MIL) doesnt want to have my youngest so much.
So, i need to put her in childcare. I wasnt assessed on childcare at the beginning of the year, as it was all sorted amoungst family, and have already submitted my application for 10/11.
Now i know i can change the 10/11 but could i get assistance for 09/10 with it being so dar into the academic year?
