Creating FLV files... .

I'm really struggling with a flash file. I need to create an flv file with an image by somehow putting together an mp3 and a jpg.

Can anybody suggest a (free) way of adding an image to an mp3 or flv file, then how to create a full flv file with that please? Thank you

  • David,

You need some sort of software to do this.

A good freebie one is made by Coffeecup software (Google them), the only downside is that they have a "made with coffeecup" or whatever in the bottom corner of your flash presentation.

You could always get the Adobe offering but i'm quite sure it costs megabucks.

Thanks; I'm on the Coffeecup page (http://www.coffeecup.com/freestuff/) but can't really see anything appropriate for free. I don't mind a watermark or anything on my video file... .

Make your movie in whatever editor you're using (you can try Microsoft's Movie Maker if you don't have one), then upload it to YouTube. You can then download the flv video that YouTube creates by using this site.
  • Format Factory can convert pretty much anything to FLV (or any other type of audio/video/picture file). It can also be used to join files. It's free.

Thanks for the recommendation! I can't work out how to merge audio and an image into a flv. Has anyone done this before...?

    Hi
I think that Windows Movie Maker will allow you to merge a jpg with an audio track.
Then convert the resulting file into flv afterwards.

Thanks; just downloading Movie Maker and we'll see how it goes. I've been using Snosh which was fantastic but was only a trial version... .
  • Hi David,

    Apologies, it's this one coffeecup.com/firestarter/

Just download and I think you'll get a free trial for 30 days or whatever. Worth a shot.
