Am I paying too much for my electricity?

Options
I have just got my electric bill from the 19th November 2009 to 9th February 2010 and it's £334.00.

I live in a 1 bed flat 1 reception room, kitchen and bathroom. I have a mix of storage and convection heater but got the E7 meter replaced with a single meter so don't use the storage heaters overnight.

It works out about £5.00 per day can anyone tell me if this it too high??

Hiya, you do not say if the flat is all electric or if you have a gass bill as well? How many people? If some one is at home all day so will use more heating? more info needed to answer your question.
If winter comes, can spring be far behind?
    Spring begins on 21st March.

Estimated or actual readings? What matters is your consumption, not your bill.

Too high compared to what? Do you mean are you using more KWH that others in a one bedroom flat or do you mean are you paying too much per KWH? Can't answer either questions without knowing what supplier and tariff you are on and what your usage is in KWH!

Why change the meter if you still have storage heaters?
  • well im on a key meter and we use about £1 a day and thats with two of us and with a electric oven - but heating is gas.
  • Yeah, if you are still using the storage heaters, why would you switch to a single meter?
It's not easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache.
