HP printer cartridge confusion help desperate

Bought a Hp b109n printer and now need cartridges . The advice on instruction was HP364 black for £15 so bought one and didn't fit so spoke to HP uk who advised me I needed a hp364xl black and as a gesture of goodwill they would send me one and arrived today and guess what it doesn't fit.I have spoke to PC World who are now stuck themselves. When I looked online there appears to be various part numbers for the HP364 black cartridges .for both the standard and xl size but no one can tell me what I need not even HP. This is hell Its costing me time and money and of course no shop will accept an opened cartridge. Any answers would be so much appreciated.:(

got the cart and it says 364 on the black cartridge but total different width to both mentioned

You may need HP 564 cartridges for that printer. Might be worth checking again

Just seen that on an australian forum but its costing a fortune if its wrong again . To be honest I feel like dumpin it back on Pc Worlds counter

Very odd this, 7 day shop say you need 364 cartridges, can't you just take one of the existing ones to a store and get the same shape?

BTW you should be able to use both the normal and the XL sizes. Its not a case of you not peeeling off a cover is it? Are the new cartridges a different shape?

GOOGLE hp 364 refill , seems 364 = us 564 ,there is an xl version as well.
if no wiser google your printer model.

Its definitely the 364 on the cartridge that comes out but if you look at part numbers on cartridge sites these are what they say CB322EE 0r cb321ee or cb316ee and cb317ee its also confusing.
