Does anyone here subscribe to 'which?' magazine

Apologies if this is in the wrong place.

If anyone does subscribe to which? online or magazine - is it any good ? value for money ? sound advice ?

Is there anywhere else you can get unbiased product reviews ? or consumer advice ?

Your feedback is much appreciated.

It is very likely that your local public library subscribes. Why not check it out there in true money-saving style? You can always photocopy any important articles,

  • My dad has suscribed for as long as I can remember! He'll only buy an electrical item if it's a 'Which? Best Buy' lol. I've subscribed to it for around a year now and I think their website is extremely useful when looking for products. Certainly influenced a few of my recent purchases. I think I pay around £8 a quarter.
  • I have subscribed for years, I always look for best buys, and they have never let me down. The online site is really easy to use, it's quicker than flicking through old magazines! I definitely think it's worth it.

I colleague at work subscribes and I have borrowed the magazines before and been very disappointed.

When I was looking at buying a Blu-ray player, the which best buy player had been superceeded twice and was no longer available. It was the same when looking at dishwashers. Electrical goods seem to be replaced and upgraded so often that Which doesn't seem to be able to keep up.

I wouldn't bother paying but would take a look in the public library if they were available.

I've just had a look at their online site and it is £7.75/month - how do you get it so cheap ?

I use the library which mag too- before I make any important purchases I check in the index if they have an article about the product.Unfortunately I have found the relevant mag has sometimes gone walkies.
I also look at reviewcentre and ciao.
  • Used it online. They do monthly trials for £1.

Have to say, I think it is excellent. Sometimes when trying to buy something it is a case of rather too much information to digest. Plus the Best Buy categories can sometimes actually be a bit confusing.

£7.75 per month is a lot though. If it was, say, £4-£5, I think I would be a regular subscriber.
