Jacuzzi/Spa baths any good?

I am looking at fitting a bathroom upstairs. Its in an attic space so the shape of the room is rectangular but will have sloping walls. I can't see a way of getting a shower up there so thinking maybe a jacuzzi/spa bath.
Does anybody have one or used one and are they basically same sizes as normal ones?
Worth it or not???

Do a search for jacuzzi/spa in this forum , topic has come up before.
Love them or hate them
I think the last lot of posters , thought the same as me :rotfl:
( that is why I remember it)
Can only say , acquired one when I moved to this house.
About 7 years ago . First time I used it , bubbles all over the floor
But have not used in well over 6 1/2 years. Have two teenage daughters , they don't bother. The power Shower is used always , never the bath .are they basically same sizes as normal ones?

I know normal amount of bubble bath causes overflow. I buy cheap stuff which i would be impressed if bubbled at all. (economy if i only need to use a small amount.)
There will be a shower elsewhere, so it has to be a bath only due to the sloping ceiling.
did do a search but didn't find anything but will try again.
Thanks for your opinion though, thats what i am looking for.0 -
Beans should do the trick :rotfl:0

These really to polarise people dont they! We've just had our bathroom refitted and installed a hydro-thearapy 'airspa' shower bath. Our bathroom is tiny at only 1.7m x 1.7m. We love taking baths and its great.
Yes I've read all about how you need to ensure the pipes are cleaned, but it doesnt seem too much hassle (ensure you run the spa for 20mins once a month with some detergent / sterillising tablets).
Fitting was straightforward, no problem for bathroom fitter.
Some pics here if you're interested.

I've got an Airbath spa bath which the previous owners installed. I love it, i don't have it on each time i bath (i have a shower too) but is especially useful after a long day's gardening to ease my aching back!
I used to spend a fortune on e-bay buying specialist de-greaser for the jets. Now, once a week, i dissolve some washing soda crystals in about 2" of water (mine has airjets on the bottom not the side of the bath). i switch the bath on for a minute and then just leave it for a few hours before rinsing out.
i'm moving house and intend to have one in the new house.Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0 -
Got one. love it. Use it most days! Clean it once a month with a dissolved dishwasher tablet/running for 20 odd minutes. Great bubble maker too!"...IT'S FRUITY!"0

Well i do a lot of sport and always aching from some form of diy so very tempted providing it falls within my budget. Thanks for the cleaning tips as i didn't even know i would have to do that.
Noise wise, doesn't bother me as it will be me that will be using it. Will keep my eyes open then for a second hand one. Checked measurements this morning and can get a 1700 in fine.0 -

If the bath has a shower over, what happens is that you get standing water in the pipes which will begin to stink after a while. There are 3 of us showering daily which is why I clean it on a Saturday morning with the soda crystals. Airbath also recommend running the bath sometimes when showering - to keep the pipes clean. tis a good way to have a bidet at the same time ;-)Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015.
