Dump them and get some steel wheels, they are far easier to maintain.:)

Good plan, then I have to tell the insurance company that the car is modified..... (my car is the "sporty" derivative and steel wheels weren't even an option from the factory!)

Anyway, alloys in good condition don't really need much maintainance. 5 min on each wheel when you clean the car and they are absolutly fine :D

They are pain in the buttocks as far as I am concerned, even if you care for them, brake dust will eventually eat in to them, they are also prone to losing air due to internal corrosion breaking the wheel / tyre seal.:)

I clean my car properly with a wa!!!!!t etc at least once a fortnight, if in the interim I cant be fudged it gets a blast with the pressure washer so no real hardship :D

Lol, as I have learned to my detriment. With how easy these things leak I thought I'd be able to DIY remove a tyre, cut all the way through the sidewalls each side, then found out I was wrong. Sidewalls sealed solid to the rim, and this is one that leaked like anything

And that will be because you didn't break the bead. Not because of any internal corrosion.
