Has the format for the abuse button changed?

I have posted on here before about the problems that non Outlook users have with the abuse button, as it does not fire up the email account, so requires a lot of copying and pasting.
However I have noticed recently that it does actually fire up my email client, it doesn't however copy the post number so you still have to do that bit yourself.
Thanks for the improvement anyway.

Still opens outlook express for me. no big deal though.Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. Anne Lamott
It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

Clicking the
has always opened up my default email client (Thunderbird) with a message with the correct post details in the subject line for me.
Nothing seems to have changed recently that I can see?
The mailto: link seems to be all correct and present?
e.g. from above

Maybe more an issue of your browser/system not passing the info to the email client correctly, rather than anything wrong with the reporting link?Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

I don't use outlook or outlook express (or Windows) and in the past pressing the abuse button has done absolutely nothing.
So what you have to do is have the abuse email addy in contacts, copy the post number, open up client and then paste the info.
Now at least it does open up email client.
Still wonder why it posts to an email address rather than a webform but at least for me its better than it was.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Has always worked just fine for me over the last 3 years. Under either Windows or Linux.
You just need to make sure your browser and default mail client are set up to handle the mailto: link correctly.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
