Cancelled order

Hi there, can a website (Very.co.uk) cancel my order (even though they have taken the money) because they advertised the product (a printer) at the wrong price?
Thanks

Yes - the contract between you and the seller isn't formed until they dispatch the item.0

It doesn't answer the question, but if the contract isn't formed until the item is dispatched, then they shouldn't have taken the money before then."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
It does answer the question that was asked tbh. Request a refund if it's not already been issued.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

Sorry, my post wasn't very clear. I was trying to say that my comment wasn't really to do with the original question (not that the response I quoted didn't answer the question)."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Different companies have different terms - some take payment when you place the order and some take payment when the item is dispatched, both are perfectly legal and acceptable (IMO) as long as it is made obvious to the buyer when the payment will be taken.
In both cases it is only when the item is dispatched that the contract is agreed and formed.0 -
....then they shouldn't have taken the money before then
It's called 'live payment processing'. The customer is processing their card immediately.0 -
Very (and Additions Direct) are famous for this. You usually have to go through a bit of a nightmare to get the postage back as well.0
