worried about my car

i have a little 1.1 citroen saxo and i'm paranoid to hell about whats wrong with it.

the steering wheel has been wonkey since i'v had it, and the steerin pull's to the right when. i got this checked over at a couple of garages, had the tracking done, and had something doe to the steering too as the guy agreed it was a bit dodge, the wheel is still nearly 45 degrees to the left (to drive straight), and pulls to the right, when i turn the wheel its looser to the left and harder to the right and i'm terrified of driving down a motorway cos it jsut feels wrong to me.

the other thing is about 2 months ago i had loads of work done to it (due to me being paranoid about it) the radiator wasnt working so i asked if they would check that, look at the steering (as above), find out whats making a squeaking noise in the engine and look at the exhaust (i'v had issues with this as i needed a new catalayic converter about a year ago but after having an mot 9 months after - by a differant garage - i was told they'd put on the wrong size...it was obvious to me as the exhaust suddenly sounded really beefy but after i took it back twice to complain that it sounded almost worse than when i had brought it in i was fobbed off with 'its just cos its new')
anyways, the radiator was fixed, along with some other valve thing (i cant remember whats its called at the moment) which solved a lot of the problems, and the exhaust was tightened so i was told i shouldnt make that beefy sound anymore - which it doesnt.
however, i can hear something rattleing near the front of the car (sounds like part of the exhaust) and the steering is still beyond a joke.

i dont know what to do, i KNOW the car shouldnt make the noises it does and the steering wheel should be staight but i'v lost faith in garages and i cant keep asking a mate to check it over (he's the one who did the MOT, told me of the wrong size exhaust and fixed most of the problems already)

A full laser alignment would probably sort this out as the camber of the wheels would be sorted out - have you any uneven tyre wear?

I'd take it to a recommended garage and get it looked at as it doesnt sound safe.
Never argue with an idiot. He will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.

the tyres are all fine in terms of even wear.

thing is i'v taken it to so call 'recommended garage's' and i cant do it myself, and i cant really afford the £59 mto test tracking myself

thing is the tracking had been done when i got it serviced. they mentioned it was out but now fixed.

Steering wheel angle should be sorted when doing the tracking. Pay £25 down a decent tyre place for 4 wheel laser alignment (Protyre/Micheldever etc).
when i turn the wheel its looser to the left and harder to the right and i'm terrified of driving down a motorway cos it jsut feels wrong to me.
Either the tracking is not right, the tyres have worn, or the car is bent. However, a decent alignment test would show any car distortion.
You must get a decent place to check the alignment.

i'v had it done in two differant places and they didnt seem to make much differance.

the exhaust is definitly loose which i'm not happy about as i was told it was tightened now less than two months ago.
    grr

thanks for the advice guys, i guess i'll have to kick up a fuss to finally get this sorted.
