I think if A goes to a meeting and say what he did (based on his privacy settings) was no different than if he was down his local boozer slating work off to his mates.
Hes happy to provide proof of his settings and that it is totally different than it being in the public domain where everyone can see then he has nothign to worry about.
I wouldnt delete the account personally.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I wouldn't delete the account, but would make sure there was nothing on it about work, or my leisure activities that could come back and bite me on the bum. Employers are like trolls, they will actively search on a name on Facebook to get something on an employee if they can, just in case......0

If you want to say things about your work colleagues on facebook then A dont add anyone you work with or B dont say anything bad about them on facebook. The employer has every right to take what ever action they deem neccessary when someone bad mouths said company or its colleagues0

or just change the privacy settings so only your friends can see your status etc0 -
Anyone who needs to ask if its acceptable to post libelous comments on facebook about work or spend their time on it at work should be dismissed for sheer retardedness0

A lot of companies are including Facebook in their policies now.
This being due to issues like the OP.
I don't think theres anything wrong with commentint that you fed up etc as long as you don't name the company, however being off sick and then on facebook that day is bloody cheeky, as a certain colleauge of mine has been doing!!0 -
assume facebook will, at some point, !!!! up and everything will be public
assume this for everything on the internet
and yes, one work colleague being able to see the remarks is enough to make it a disciplinary offence.Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0 -
I can't understand why anyone would want to publish their personal information on the internet. Period.
A work colleague of mine had a very bad experience recently when a disgruntled customer found them on facebook.
I won't elaborate; it would be too much information given my position on this.~*~ If you don't need it, it isn't a bargain ~*~0
