£260 electricity bill for 3 months, 1 bed flat!?

Hi, I have two questions concerning a new electricity bill.

1. Is it possible for me to have used around 2500 units of electricity over the past 3 months in a 1 bed london flat?
Note that I work at home and have electric heaters which have been on frequently but it seems unlikely that I could have used this much doesn't it? Most costly electric items in house: 2 x 2500W heaters.

2. Unfortunately my electricity bill is paid via my landlord, not directly to a supplier (though I can and have checked the meter readings personally), I'm not sure what I can do to dispute the amount?

thanks
Andy

I think it's quite feasible. What is that 27 units a day?

2 x 2.5 = 5 units an hour when heaters on unless thermostatically controlled. Electric shower? Electric water heating? It soon adds up.

Hi Andy, I think you could well have used that much electric, Times are hard and you need to dream up ways to cut back on electric and gass use. We all would think twice before going into a shop and handing over more cash than we have to. Think the same when you switch on - you start paying...
Little changes all help like using a clothes airer instead of a money gullible tumble dryer. The winter months do cost a lot more than summer.
If winter comes, can spring be far behind?
    Spring begins on 21st March.

ok thanks. The water/shower is gas, as is the cooker. My work PC is a low power laptop. Do have tumble dryer!
But if it's feasible then I shall simply reduce my heater usage as it is surely the culprit.
