I stayed at the Crowne Plaza last time I was at the MEN. Lovely hotel and only about a 5 minute walk to the arena. Might be a bit pricy though - what's your budget?

Up to £100 , I saw there is a friends and family voucher on other forum for crowne plaza

Yep, IHG friends and family will get you between 20-40% discount. Bear in mind that it is an advance purchase rate so if you cancel you won't get any money back. If you can get a room on that rate I'd definitely go for the Crowne Plaza, perfect location and a nice hotel to boot

There's a premier inn right across the road and althought not stayed there premier inns in my opinion are pretty good

We have stayed at Mcdonald Hotel 3 times, lovely and clean hotel they have superking size beds, its 10 min walk from MEN, we have never paid no more than £89 we always book it on laterooms. Parking is extra £12 for 24hours.

The premier Inn MEN should be in your budget. Stayed there quite a bit, and its brillant. Asked for a quiet room and it was silent- amazing for the city centre, not bothered since, just said yes to staying on a higher floor,never had an issue. It also has free parking, a huge bonus for Manchester. And really well positioned. Minutes from Arndale centre and MEN, great for getting something to eat, shopping. Cant recomend it enough
