Oh I'm so sorry to moan but I've been seriously coming since Sept last year and still not won anything! I spend hours entering comps every day.

Does anyone know if using a hotmail email address could block some emails? Or am I just looking for excuses for my really bad luck?

Some people win 2 or more prizes in 1 day and I see their wins adding up in their signatures....I congratulate them, but just wish I could win something as an incentive to keep going......:(:embarasse:(:embarasse

i use an aol address and have very little luck.
i enter lots of comps per day and spend hours doing it aswell

i was just the same as you - reading all the wonderful prizes others are winning daily - then suddenly wins were coming in small at first then amazingly good. i started only last august and when you do not win win in a couple of weeks you can feel demoralized let alone a couple of months.
im sending you a heap of my lucky fairy dust as this year ive scooped a lap top and holiday to thailand,:j:j so i am sure prizes are already on the way - some prizes come months after entry, so stick with it and i will look to find you on the winners page:T:T:T

Sorry to hear that you are not having much luck. Plenty of compers use hotmail so I don't think that is a problem.

How many competitions are you entering? The more you enter the more chance you have of winning. I do approx 100 - 120 a day. Are you only entering for big prizes as there is less chance of winning (as more people enter these comps and normally less prizes on offer)?
Some comps from Sept won't have even closed yet. Others won't have even picked a winner yet!
Put in the hours, be patient and the wins will start to come. * GOOD LUCK *

I've been entering competitions since i started on here in June 2008 and have won absolutely nothing, big fat zero, although i do get sackfuls of junk mail afterwards.

It's all the luck of the draw really, make sure your spam filters aren't off and always check your spam folder, I use a yahoo address and OH uses hotmail, and we have won on both, just keep entering as many as you can and your win's will start coming in!

Echoing Kisto here really, what you might think is loads might not be a lot to the people who win a lot. Also competition for things like Wii's and other highly desired or valuable prizes get a lot more entrants therefore there's less chance of you winning.

To increase your chances try entering comps with lots of prizes (i.e. 1,000 mascaras) as then there is more chances to win, comps with effort involved (even simple things like writing a short poem) as they have a lot less particpants and local competions (like the local radio/newspaper) or for prizes which are near your location e.g. gigs/hotel breaks.

You say you are spending hours a day entering, but how many comps are you doing? I mark mine down each day and average just over 1000 a week. I have a win ratio of about 1 in 1000.

have to say i started off ok, got my first few wins within the month but since that, masive dry spell. startng to loose willingness to enter now to.

I have always used Hotmail and although I havent won nearly as much as some on here I have had several small wins so I dont think its anything to do with your email account. Having said you could check that the emails are being sent when you do the comps in this way.

To give you incentive I would recommend you do more of the comps with smaller prizes DVDs, CDs and in particular look out for the comps with more than one prize eg 7000 Rimmel mascaras (that one has finished now though). Dont give up though, I bet you win soon - good luck!!!!
