This is why National Hunters are so unfair in the manner in which they do business. They assume that everyone is a fraud. I know that there are those out in the big bad world and particularly the buy to let lot who self certify and lie about thier earnings but I'm afraid on this occasion this is not the case. This was a genuine error made by the FA and I have it in writing that he failed to supply the evidence that he was given to the Birmingham Midshires. This could have been remedied with a phone call. Everyone just went over the top and they have caused a real problem

I would have thought that your issue was with your FA for making the mistake. He should have professional indemnity insurance. Why not sue him for compensation?

  • Thanks, thats good advice but not what I want. I dont want to punish or damage any ones reputation. What I want is for the record to be put straight so that my wife can open a bank account and live a normal life, she has done nothing wrong

The Groniad have an article here:- http://www.guardian.co.uk/money/2008/nov/15/national-hunter-credit-agency
The MSE forum Member 'never-in-doubt' has had many dealings with credit reference agencies/ fraud prevention agencies.

Thank you for the link. Thier actuall Offices are in Manchester in 100 Baribolli Square M2 3AB. They claim (see atrical) that banks and lenders should not act soloey on the information that they provide but lets face it, if you was a lender and you requested and agency sololey who claim to detect fraud and that same agancy send back your file maked Suspicious because they have not made any attempt to clarify, what would you do?

They need to be regulated by someone because they seem to be able to wreck peoples lives without justification or credibility.

You may like to extend your crusade to include CIFAS:
CIFAS is the UK’s Fraud Prevention Service with 260 Members spread across banking, credit cards, asset finance, retail credit, mail order, insurance, savings and investments, telecommunications, factoring, and share dealing.
Members share information about identified frauds in the fight to prevent further fraud.
CIFAS is unique and is the world's first not for profit fraud prevention data sharing scheme.

No need to take my crusade to CIFAS. They are transparrant unlike our friends at the NATIONAL HUNTERS LIMITED. At least with CIFAS, if they put a marker on your credit file it is their for every one to see and particularly you. HUNTERS however have this deal going with the Likes of Barclays bank and Birmingham Midshires and they wont tell you that you have been shafted by National Hunters. If you know any thing of the History of the Crusades, I'm sure that NATIONAL HUNTERS fit the bill better than me. All I want is fareness and justice, National Hunters on the oher hand, like the crusades use force against those who dont believe in thier cause. This is no crusade my friend but if you think I'm going to sit back and watch my family suffer due to incompetence then I'm afraid you have me wrong
