Hi I am currently a private landlord and rent out my maisonette/flat to a tenant on housing benefit. The property is vunerable to damp/mould due to condensation/lack of ventilation and a cold north facing wall along the length of the lounge and main bedroom. Check the leashold, the external shell of the building could not belong to you. However the freeholder might agree to having the works done, therefore bypassing the agreement of other leasholders. It's a minefield.

I do applaud you for going to such efforts to try and reduce your tenants fuel bills.
