Vaillant Homerserve 637

Approximately 18mths ago we had a Vaillant 637 system boiler fitted.

In that we have experienced a number of problems and the last one relates to this post.

A faulty connection tube was causing air to enter into the heating system and ultimately shut the boiler down. I have never known a boiler shut down in my life until now.

The replacement item has been redesigned and is now made of copper not copper and rubber.

Why the post? Shocked by the lack of customer service.

1. Vaillant have promised but so far failed to carry out an annual service
2. Vaillant refuse to reimburse the cost of the part

Anecdotally tradesmen tell me they have switched to other manufacturers.

I am only a house holder but with this experience and can appreciate their comments.

Meantime I must wonder what service I will receive over the coming years.

    Presumably youve spoken to Vaillant about the issues? If so,what was their response?
    Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

    You don't get a 'free' or automatic first annual service. If you book a service with a registered Vaillant engineer, they will presumably come and service it.
    But if you've had it 18m without a service, you have now presumably invalidated any extended warranty that would have been offered?
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
