Wel the end of another month, thought I wasn't going to get paid today woke up at 5:30 haha and checked balance and no money but it is here now! My wages have got a bit mixed up hence paying more off last month, I'm a bit under this month and for the next few to make up for that but better than a bulk in one go!

We waiting for a quote for the stairs (we want to get done) but the people haven't got back to us so I transferred it quick!! Will have to wait til next month now...

We got some sainsburys shopping vouchers £4 off £20 (for 6 weeks) to lure us back from asda so we went there. Hubby did the shopping again as he is off and wound me up saying he'd spent lots but he managed £22 which is fantastic so will try and have a better month with all that. June is not a great month as not loads to look forward to...however 'if' we can be extra 'careful' we just might be able to get under £90k. This is part of next months target but after the payment on tuesday we will be on £90300, and I still have the quidco money coming our way....wel see, I want to do it!

Extras this week- I managed to blag a bag of free cat food which will reduce the food bill, but hubby has been charged £22 for going £2.45 into his overdraft and is currently at the bank trying to close his account and get a refund (wish us luck)... Might get some guinea pigs hehe, will see

so signature updated £2255 paid off today yay!

    A quick hello from me,

I've just read through the whole of your thread and you are doing amazingly well! I'm off work at the moment and due to go back in November. I'm hoping if I can carry on making changes to our lifestyle that we can use my wage to OP the mortgage. Plus when the boys go to school and we don't have to pay for any childcare we will have a lot more to throw towards it.

Keep up the good work :D
Mummy to 3 fabulous boys all under 4

Littlebit, exactly what we did, we managed surprisingly well whilst I was off and that was inspiration for overpaying the mortgage a bit more...so addictive!

Money came out for mortgage today. Balance now £90300 (had to put an extra 91p to round down), so £344.09 paid off from normal payment, £113.42 total interest and down to £3.66 a day... looking forward to updating for MFIT but quidco money is on its way...so hoping to pay that off before updating...really hoping can get to 90k this month....not sure if can do it or not! but definately wont be til end so wont be in the official update. Need to be extra good this month

well I hope you can stick to be going good, this month for me is getting a few bits for our hols in july :) this will be our last holiday abroad (which was another tesco freebie :D) I dont mind though as all the hassle and being the only adult takes a lot of the fun out of it.

I hope to see at the end of the month that you have met your target ;)

Wel we have been quite good, but we are not going to go under 90k this month.

The quidco money has come through but we have decided to go with a good quote we've got for the balustrading. We really need to get this done, when I first moved here the dogs chewed all the wooden bannister, also its horizontal bars with big gaps, small enough for a small person to get through. So we need something chew proof and safe so we are getting glass and stainless ones. Our little girl can only play downstairs and it will be nice to get some gates sorted to fit upstairs as currently we have to shut all doors or hold her upstairs, so it would be nice so we can just relax a bit. Plus this week one of our dogs has taken to opening all the doors in the house and opened the pet food cupboard allowing the cats to get into the box and eat it plus the animals have been into other rooms and eaten my pot plants!! So really need to stop them getting upstairs! However this is just the start as we are only buying 4 posts then trying to put some money aside to get the glass at a later date so can't relax just yet!

The other project for this year is to get the piling done for our side extension...I am looking into the option of an interest free credit card for a year and then paying it off by not overpaying on the mortgage we shall see. I am very reluctant to compromise over paying at the mo as it is just so addictive!

I comfort myself by the fact that we are slightly ahead of target but I am trying to maintain this lead. The excitement of seeing the 80 something can be next month.

Pammy, wow a tesco freebie holiday that is amazing, how easy are these thing to wangle? A break is well deserved and I hope u have a fantastic time! :)
