DAB radio cuts out regularly

Can anyone explain why the digital signal seems to cut out on my radio? It does so for 10-15 seconds or thereabouts and seems to happen at least three to four times per hour. Extremely annoying. The sound goes completely, while the visual 'running read-out' of what is playing keeps rolling.
I tend to listen to BBC R2, if that is any guide.

Sounds like you're on the edge of the broadcast range, how many bars show on the Dab radio, ideally you need 2 bars plus for consistent reception0
