I have a Storm and an iphone 3gs 32gb
There chalk and cheese strong in each others weak areas
Blackberry's are vastly superior to iphones for communication's, email (especially hotmail and exchange), twitter, and messenger type coms. the BBM service is brilliant. There own network seams to work instantly all the time even on the slowest of networks. I can buy something on ebay and literally 1 second later my storm beeps the email. I can not get anywhere near this kind of performance on my iphone, I am unable to find any way to get constant live push for twitter, skype and I even had to pay to get a third party app to make hotmail work poorly.
However the iphone OS is much better than the blackberry one, its so much more intuitive, easier to use and even editing and copy n paste is easy. But where the iphone really kills is in its apps there just so many and on the whole there vastly better than the BBs. The iphone handles 3D high res graphics with ease. the iphone needs at least 3G (still slow) to web browse and realisticly wifi. and then theres itunes THE worst program ever written, it took me about 40 hours to fix all my MP3 tags so that itunes would play stuff in the right order even thou they worked on my Storm ...........
If you want coms get a blackberry, if you want a portable media device with great games music and video get a iphone (you can even out put iphone movies to a TV via one cable for £15 !!)0 -
Great phones, i think you'll be happy with it. I've got the Bold 9000 and has it for over a year now. The apps are easy to get from the Blackberry App centre and i would also recommend downloading the Google apps including Google maps. This work much better than the built in Blackberry Maps app.
Another good app to get is Memory Booster, this deletes any cached and used memory being held onto by other apps. It'd much quicker than doing a battery pull to clear the memory (takes about 5 mins to restart with that).
Otherwise get yourself over to crackberry.com for some great advice and good apps to download. :beer:0
