Zafira alarm keeps going off

I am at the end of my tether with my car, its an 02 zafira and have never had any problems with it. However for the past week the alarm keeps going off every other night, its all singing all dancing lights flashing siren wailing, horn blowing alarm so is no doubt driving my neighbours mad as much as it is me.
Does anyone have any idea WHY?? Apparently, so I am told, this is a common thing with Zafira's yet no one can tell me how to resolve it??
The battery is apparently fine, there is nothing loose in the car which would trip the sensors so I am at a loss?
Appreciate any ideas!
Thanks

A useful tip which I originally read on Honest John's website (https://www.honestjohn.co.uk) - he's the motoring agony aunt for the Daily Telegraph.
Before you leave the car and lock up, first turn the heating control to the "footwell" position, switch from "fresh air" to "recirculate air", set the temperature to "hot" and close any dashboard vents. Quite often the cause of the problem is air entering the car through the high-level or windscreen airvents and triggering the motion detectors on the alarm system.
May not cure your particular problem, but worth a try.0
