How can I add a watermark special programme?

Hi,
I would like to add a watermark to my images to copyright them can anybody recommend a programme that i can do this with i am using microsoft office picture manager and cannot see a function in this programme to add text. I have tried downloading a couple and they have not worked. thanks

You can do it in most basic programmes like microsoft paint. Its just a case of adding text then adjusting contrast, colours etc on the text. You could even do it in MS word if you wanted to

thanks very much. I Did try earlier to add text to paint but i always had the white background behind it, i didn't realise you could get rid of it so now i know that i have been able to sort out all my pics. thanks again:beer:
