My garden birds have had it this week, no harm done.
Hubby wanted to make dumplings for the stew and asked me how much to use.
I said 6 ounces of flour and 3 ounces of suet.
He did it the other way round :rotfl:
So the birds have had them, done them no harm, they're still with us.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

Atora suet (both the beef and the vegetable one) is absolutely fine for the birds .. the RSPB suggest it too and I've been feeding it to my lot for the last two weeks.
I buy 4 packs of each a week and still have a lot left over.
When I put the seed into a bowl ready to take outside to the bird table, I mix one third of each packet into it and they go crazy and eat the lot!
Funnily enough, I have tried putting it out on its own and they haven't taken to it, but mixed in with the seed they love it. Strange critters!! *LOL*0 -

I'm surprised the poor things could still fly after eating Mr Barneysmoms cannon balls.

From the RSPB website:
Cooked rice, brown or white (without salt added) is beneficial and readily accepted by all species during severe winter weather. Uncooked rice may be eaten by birds such as pigeons, doves and pheasants but is less likely to attract other species.0
