Cheap Flights London to Cincinatti (Under £290)

Bit of a random destination so probably not much interest but as I am working at a summer camp in Ohio and had to return to the UK for a week I have been desperately trying to find the cheapest flights from London to Cincinatti. I couldnt find anywhere (and I did loads of searching) below £700, £650 at a push - then I found AirfaresBasement.com and managed to do a search (departure date 16th and 18th July and possibly multiple other dates I didnt check) and most return dates (mine late Aug) gave flights for £286 return inc taxes. It includes a change at New York if you pick the right one - you could try skipping your connecting flight and staying there for a cheap flight to and from new york (if they allow you to do so) If you go to the continental website you can order the same flights there, the prices are similar but you pay in $ so it might be cheaper depending on how much your card charges for different currencies.
It may be a pricing error as really it is so much cheaper than anywhere else. As I say probably not many people planning on going to cincinatti especially in July but as it is so much cheaper than anyhere else thought it worth mentioning. Hope it helps someone!

I've tried dates from 18th July to late august and the cheapest I am getting is £768 !!!
Seems like a pricing error.0 -
I'm from Cincinnati! Cincinnati airport (CVG) is an expensive airport to fly into.
It has something to do with being a main Delta hub.
Where in Ohio do you have to be? Have you looked into Dayton or Columbus? Columbus is less than three hours north of Cincinnati and Dayton less than two hours north. (Columbus, the state capital, is smack-dab in the center of the state, Dayton is West-central) Indianapolis is less than two hours to the West. That may sound huge to you, but by the American scale of things, they're pretty close!
The only real downside would be how you'd get to where you need to be. Greyhound busses are generally fairly affordable and not too unpleasant if you're only going on short jaunts. Passenger trains are not really an option in that part of the country. Hiring a car may be a good deal.:beer:0
