Halfcost refund nightmare

I returned an item to halfcost well over a week ago now. They are saying that they need 10 days to return the amount to my credit card. Is this legal? I was thinking about calling my credit card company to enquire about it, but I thought I would check with you first.

Are you sure they didn't say it could take up to 10 days to clear? Which they'll just say to cover themselves.

I ordered a pair of cat boots for my lad from here, i got a toy mega phone instead!!!!
Luckily they sent another pair out.
Why not ring them again and ask why it takes so long, maybe its to cover the courier picking up the package getting back to them, checking it, proccessing it ect.

when i have had incorect items or had to return items back to half cost ive always phoned them and they have been very helpfull , but a refund going back onto a credit card can take longer than 10 days sometimes , if its for a lot of money then i would give them a call just to check its gone through from there side , but if its a few quid then give it time xx hope you get sorted ,
