Standing Order Query

Hope this is the right place to ask this question....

I've been stupid and forgotton to cancel the annual SO to the company that was storing our wills. They went out of business in the autumn of last year but I didn't cancel the SO and have just noticed it went out a couple of weeks ago. My bank have said that there's no way for them to get the money back and the only thing to do is try and get in touch with the auditors and claim it back from them.

It's only £25 so I was wondering if anyone knows how I would do this and how much of a pain it will be - ie. is it worth the effort!!

Many thanks.

Your chances of getting any money depend on whether the company has any assets. Probably slim.

The insolvency service should be able to put you in touch with the auditors.

Did you get your will back? - that is yours absolutely

Technically the business shouldn't be able to receive money if it is no longer in business. You'll get your money back, just may take a while....
