Mounting telly onto bracket - which screws - M4?

I have just bought a telly unit that allows me to hang my flatscreen onto its bracket. However, I need to buy the screws to attach the telly to the bracket.
I have looked at the manual that accoompanies my telly and it says I need M4 screws. Never heard of them. It has MIS-E C written down too. It says I need six but given the design of the bracket, I am prety certain I will only be able to atach 4. Is that normal.
And does anyone know where I can get these screws from. I asked in Wickes but they said they should come with the telly when bought. But there are a couple of possibilities in BandQ.
Many Thanks

M4 is simply a 4mm metric bolt. Screwfix sell them, but you should also be able to get them in small numbers in Halfords, Dyas and places like Homebase.
P.s. Wickes were right - if the bracket came with the TV, the bolts should have been in the box, so you may also be able to get the retailer to supply what is missing.0 -
The telly was bought seperate from the bracket which maybe why I have not got the bolts.
I will go into screwfix or Homebase tomo and ask for four M4 screws then. Ta0 -
Looking on screwfix, typing in M4 screw, quite a few varietes come up. How on Earth do I know which one I want?!0

don't forget the length is VERY important

How will I know how long I need the screw to be!?!!!
I'm serious though, how do I know how long it has to be. It just says I need M4 screws.0 -

Tele's hang near enough vertical, it's the ' shear ' strength that counts !
- look up the FDMI for VESA
I would think [ M4's are tiny ] 10mm is much more than enough, screw them in by hand for a test when you get a lot of resistance that's about right you don't need much more than a 1/4 inch - 10mm will do fine.
If it's too long, dremel / grinder / hacksaw or file a bit off - or compensate with a washer or two !
This assumes you don't have big thick scarts or a very thick bracket, remember the depth of the screw has to go through the bracket itself, so don't cut them too short.Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion.
