live in a concrete jungle, no garden no balcony on second floor. income less than 4000. hate where I live so alternate between mums and home spending as little time there as possible, trying to save as much money as is humanly possible.
my question is this as a complete novice when it comes to anything green fingered what can I grow indoors food wise to save money that takes little maintanance and how. any sugestions to relieve my budget, thanks.

Bean sprouts and seedling crops such as ... mung beans, whole lentils, chickpeas, alfalfa, fenugreek, peanuts, mustard, cress, wheatgrass
If you have a window sill in good light - maybe herbs such as basil, coriander, parsley
It only saves money if (a) you like them and/or (b) you currently buy them0 -

Sorry but potatoes won't grow indoors.
Neither would it save you money, to be honest. Potatoes are cheaper than growbags.0 -

Chillies grow indoors and taste fine.
Peppers do as well but only the mini-ones or pointing shaped ones are worth growing.
For both crops you need decent sized windows.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)0
