Online shop with ££ going directly to charity

I want to set up an online site that lets me sell digital products, shoppers can download them straight away and the cost of the products would go straight to the charity...I don't want any money in my own hands.

I looked into justgiving, but I think that would involve a lot of work from me (sending out the digital products) whereas I just want people to be able to download after they have paid (like an e-book).

Can anyone tell me if they know of anything like this? I would like proceeds/donations to go to an established cancer charity so its not like I'm setting up my own or anything.

thanks in advance

Im not sure how viable your idea is.

You starting point should perhaps be a selected charity who you would like to partner up with to develop the project.
When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.

The products sell very well, so not worried about that. I just don't personally want to be the middle man for taking money from people and passing it on.

If it doesnt work out I'll have to set up a just giving page and manually mail all of the electronic products out to everyone who has paid... at least that way the charity gets it directly by paypal.

  • Hi Jamtart, have you considered ebay/missionfish? http://pages.ebay.co.uk/ebayforcharity/sell.html I believe you can sell e-books on them so maybe downloads like you describe would work as well...
