ppi with firstplus

Hi,
we are unsure about reclaiming our ppi with this company,
they have said they will give the full value back to us in November
if the policy is not claimed on. if we start claiming back now we are concerned it will delay getting the money back in November,
also has anyone had problems getting the policy value back at the end of the 5yrs?:(

Hi, when you say delay getting the money back in 5 years???... if you claimed from them for misselling then your loan would be put back into the position as if you never had the PPI anyway so you would not be able to claim the 5 year cashback but you will not be out of pocket. I see what you mean though in that if you put in a complaint and they cancelled the PPI then you lost, you would lose out on the 5 year cashback BUT FOS are actually upholding 99% of FIrstplus complaints anyway so that says something. Maybe the complaint would be done and dusted by November anyway;).

Also did you get the loan direct with FP? If not you would have to chase the broker for this so make sure of this first.

    Hi new puppy,
We were told we were also on track to receive the money back.
Then recently I asked again if this was still the case now I have been told that because we were 2 weeks late with a payment it may affect the cashback. They have said they will not make a decision until the five year point.
We are only four years into our loan but we have gone ahead with a claim for misselling of ppi.
Hope it works out for you.
